Peru's President Alejandro Toledo moved Jaime Quijandria back to his former post as mines and energy minister in a cabinet reshuffle over the weekend.
Quijandria replaces Hans Flury, who was appointed in July 2003 when Quijandria was moved to the economy ministry.
Toledo named Pedro Pablo Kuczynski as the new economy minister in a "consensus cabinet" to bolster his flagging popularity, which has fallen as low as 7% according to a report on CNN.
Quijandria and housing minister Carlos Bruce are the only two ministers to have held a ministerial position throughout Toledo's presidency, which so far has seen five cabinet reshuffles.
