Namericas.com) ? Mexican financial group Banorte and regional free ISP Gratis1.com (www.gratis1.com) have signed an agreement to offer Mexican businesses computers equipped with unlimited free Internet access, El Economista (Mexico) reported.
Under the alliance, Banorte will provide financing plans for the computers. The companies will also provide telephone assistance to Banorte and Gratis.com clients using the service.
Gratis1.com is a joint venture between US-based Internet access and content provider StarMedia (NASDAQ: STRM) (www.starmedia.com), US-based investment funds Chase Capital Partners and Flatiron Partners, and US-based free access software provider 1stUp (www.1stup.com).
