Spoiled for Choice

All around the globe, telcos and pay-TV providers have wrestled with the onslaught of competition from Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) services, otherwise known as OTT video, but not only have they learned to incorporate OTT players into their offerings, they have launched their own OTT services and have even set up divisions charged with creating their own original content.

Latin America is no exception, and in some respects large Latin American telcos like Telefónica and América Móvil have even shown themselves to be more advanced in the world of video than peers in the US and Europe.
