Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. (Shell Brasil), a Brazilian subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc headquartered in Rio de Janeiro since 2008, engages in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas, operating maritime fields in Brazil. In the Campos Basin, Shell Brasil operates several offshore oil-producing deposits, including the 77-km2 block Bijupirá and the 26-km2 field Salema (80%), and the bC-10 field (50%); as well as the 1,383-km2 block Alto de Cabo Frio Oeste (55%), and the 129-km2 block Sul de Gato do Mato (80%). Shell Brasil's assets also include 10 offshore blocks in Barreirinhas Basin (50%-100%); concessions in the Sapinhoa and Lapa fields (30%); and in the Lula, Iracema, Berbigão, Sururu, and Atapú West fields (25%). Shell Brasil also holds 20% interest in the Libra field, operated by Petrobras, where testing has begun on the FPSO and is scheduled to begin production in 2021 with a capacity of 180,000 Boe/d.
