Goldcorp Inc. is a Canadian gold producer engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of gold properties in Canada, the US, Mexico, and Central and South America. Its principal products are gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc. The company's assets include four mines in Canada, three in Mexico, and four in Central and South America. It is currently operating the Peñasquito gold-silver-lead-zinc mine, the Los Filos gold-silver mine, and El Sauzal gold mine in Mexico; the Marlin gold-silver mine in Guatemala; the 37.5%-owned Alumbrera and Cerro Negro mines in Argentina; and Pueblo Viejo in the Dominican Republic, a 40:60 JV with fellow Canadian miner Barrick Gold. Goldcorp also has a pipeline of projects such as Cochenour in Ontario. The Vancouver-based company was founded in 1994. In 2015, Goldcorp and fellow Canadian mining company Teck Resources Ltd. agreed to combine their respective US$4.5bn Relincho and US$3.9bn El Morro assets in Chile's Atacama region (III) into a single copper-gold project with the interim name of Corridor. Both companies will contribute their respective interests to a 50:50 joint venture. In 2017, the company completed the acquisition of Camino Rojo project from Gold Corp.
