Ohio National Seguros de Vida is the Chilean subsidiary of US insurance group Ohio National Financial Services. At beginnig, the company was almost a mono-line insurer with annuities making up the bulk of its business portfolio. Today, annuities represent a third of the portfolio and credit and individual life have increased to 21% and 8%, respectively. The biggest share of its portfolio is made up of survival and disability insurance that is linked to the country's mandatory private pension system. In total, the Chilean subsidiary has more than 6mn clients and is Ohio National's only operation outside of the US. Besides insurance products, the company also offers consumer loans to its retirees. Ohio National Seguros de Vida was founded in 2000 and is based in Santiago, Chile.
