Impulsora del Desarrollo y el Empleo en América Latina (Ideal) is a Mexican investment company, which, through its subsidiaries, operates in the construction and engineering sectors. It is divided into four business segments: highways, water, energy and transport. The firm is engaged in the development, evaluation, design, development and management of projects in Mexico and the region, including highways, ports, wastewater treatment facilities, hydroelectric plants, multimodal transport terminals and prisons. Ideal holds the concessions to nine Mexican highways in the states of Puebla, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Oaxaca, Jalisco, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Baja California and the Federal District. In Panama, the firm owns hydro electric plant Baltún (86MW). Ideal was formed in 2005 and is based in Mexico City.
