Aqualia Infraestructuras de México is the local unit of Spanish water services firm FCC Aqualia S.A., part of Spain's Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC). Aqualia has offices in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas and serves industrial, residential and commercial clients in the public and private sectors. In 2016 Aqualia Infrastructuras de México was awarded the contract to modernize and implement a waste water treatment plant for the construction works of Mexico City's new international airport. In 2015, the company won the Cutzamala project contract to improve drinking water supplies to the capital's suburbs and the project to modernize the río Mezcala water catchment system to improve water supplies to the Cactus and Nuevo Pemex gas processing centers in Tabasco state.
