Brazil releases further funds for particle accelerator

The ministry of science, technology, innovation and communications (MCTIC) approved another 70mn reais (16.9mn) to kick off phase 1 of the Sirius synchrotron light particle accelerator, construction of which is nearing completion. Investment in Sirius amounts to 1.3bn reais.
